one of the most fascinating places on earth - the island of stromboli and the vulcano - erupting about every 20 minutes... (which is called "good acitivity" by the guides leading you up to the caldera).

I'm not sure whether you can currently hike up to the very top of the vulcano, but nevertheless it's alsways an exciting experience.

Stromboli is north of the Island of Sicily, and can be reached by ferry from Milazzo - the nearest airport is Catania: http://xm.my/CTA
